School Counseling Program Mission Statement

It is the mission of the school counseling program at Johnson Elementary to provide a comprehensive, developmentally age-appropriate and sequential school counseling program. 

The program will focus on the needs, interests and issues related to the stages of student growth through academic, career and personal/social development.  In partnership with students, staff, family, community and workforce, we will strive to prepare students to become effective learners, achieve success in school, live successful and rewarding lives, and develop into contributing members of our society.

The school counseling program will focus on the following:

  • achievement
  • attendance
  • behavior and/or school safety goals this year.

Use of Time

I plan to spend the following percentage of my time delivering the components of the school counseling program. All components are required for a comprehensive school counseling program.
